The Sun Ash Children’s Centre runs a range of courses, which are listed below.  If there is a course that you are interested in but is not listed here, please contact us to let us know and we will investigate the possibility of running this course in the future.

Parenting Puzzle 

Presented in a friendly, informal way, The Parenting Puzzle is shows parents and carers how to enjoy bringing up children and get the best out of family life.

Numeracy Course 

We are currently hosting a numeracy course run by tutors from Brooklands College.  Our parents, who are taking the course are finding the relaxed, informal environment of the Children’s Centre with their children in the Creche in the next room the perfect way to learn.  This course will give participants an equivalent to a GCSE Mathematics qualification.

Play with Language 

The Play with Language course run by Family Learning provides parents with the opportunity to explore language with their child.  This course is run with a Creche facility.  For more information, please call us at

ESOL (English as a Second Language)

We are running two ESOL taster courses this year followed by a longer accredited ESOL course, for local parents and families.  The course is designed to help parents to develop and improve their English Language skills in order to be able to support their children and their education.

ICT Course for Beginners

We have just completed our first and very successful ICT Course and are looking to running it again soon.  Please call for more details or to put your name on our waiting list.

Baby Signing Course

Our Baby Signing Course runs on a rolling programme and our qualified Outreach Worker Georgina often comes into our Baby Group to give parents a taster.  Call to be put on our waiting list.
