Home Safety Scheme
For families with a Child or Children aged 0-5 years.
Free home safety checks are available for all parents and carers. Please call your local children centre to arrange a home visit.
We can advise you on various topics such as:
- Expecting a baby and unsure what equipment to buy
- Keeping my baby safe
- Keeping my toddler safe
- Keeping my pre-schooler safe
- How safe is my home
- Keeping my child safe from medicines and dangerous substances

Story Sack Hire
Bring your stories to life using one of our beautiful story sacks. Each sack contains a story book with props/music or games to enhance the story and the experience for your children.
We think the story sacks are so fantastic that we have decided to offer you the opportunity to borrow them and them home to enjoy with your family.
Sacks are hired at £2 per week.
Breast Pump Hire
The Children’s Centre offer the hire of Ameda Breast Pumps for both single and dual pumping.
Pumps are completely FREE to hire.
Milk Collection Packs are available for £10. (Two packs will be needed for dual pumping)
Nipple Shields can also be purchased at £3.00 each.
We are also available to support you with your breastfeeding or expressing. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions.

Well Baby Clinic (Drop In)
Wednesday 10.30am – 12.30pm
At Spelthorne Infant and Nursery School in the Children’s Centre
The Health Visitors are available to check baby’s height and weight and also to support you with any questions or concerns you may have. The Children’s Centre offers you and your family a stress free, relaxed environment.
Baby Cafe
The Sun Ash is pleased to support the Spelthorne Baby Cafe. Where breastfeeding mothers can meet up in a relaxed way and get expert support too.
The Baby Cafe is on Thursdays between 12.30 – 2pm at Clarendon Children’s Centre.
